The components pictured are produced in a precision laser cutting operation and then welded and ground with an automated in-line double disk grinding process. The double disc grinding process employed utilizes a 914.4mm (36.00") grinding wheel and grinds components that are 1219.2mm (48.00") long. The technical solution that Dowding Industries provided this off highway truck manufacturer solved numerous quality problems for this tightly toleranced engine application.
