*House of Promise
Michigan is ranked #2 in the country behind Nevada for sex trafficking. We provide survivors of sex abuse and sex trafficking acceptance, caring and a place to heal through counseling, training and education to help rebuild their lives and reintegrate into society
*Cardboard Prophets (Tiny Food Pantry)
So the Tiny Food Pantries that have been popping up around the state three years ago were started by Mike Karl who currently lives in Eaton Rapids and has since 2001 – he is 43 years old and he was homeless during his mid 20’s – That experience led him to be a co-founder of Homeless Angels. Which then led him to create Cardboard Prophets – a non-profit that is a street based outreach in Michigan. Their mission statement is: We tell the stories of those on the streets. To give HOPE, LOVE and second chances to ALL through creative ideas, programs and unique events with the main goal of involving the community in REAL change for people that are homeless or at risk of homelessness and restore FAITH in Humanity. They also do many other community outreach events like the monthly Picnic in the Park for the homeless. They now have 64 different Tiny Pantries around the area. Our donation would specifically be used to keep the Eaton Rapids pantries replenished.
